Who We Are
A Picture's Worth (APW) is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit dedicated to ethical, community-centered storytelling. Cincy Rec Fest is a Cincinnati-area celebration of recreational sports — the kind of everyday sports that build community, teach us about teamwork, and give us much-needed play in a stressful world. We are partnering to gather stories that lift up the power of rec sports in our region.
What You're Agreeing To
By submitting your story, you are granting A Picture's Worth and Cincy Rec Fest permission to use your audio recording, photograph, and identifying information (name, sport) in connection with the Rec for Life storygathering project.
Your story may be used in: Cincy Rec Fest and APW website and social media, event and program communications, community celebrations of rec sports, printed and digital materials, and curated public stories shared with permission. Not every submission becomes public — we will let you know before using your story in any large public-facing way.
If You Are Under 18
A parent or guardian must provide their contact information and give their consent on your behalf. Their permission is required for your story to be included.
What We Will Never Do
We will never sell your story or personal information to third parties. We will never use your story to train AI models. We will never use your story in a context that misrepresents your intent. We will never share your contact information (or your parent's, if applicable) publicly.
Your Right to Change Your Mind
You can stop, re-record, or cancel at any time before submitting — nothing is final until you tap "Submit."
You also retain ownership of your story even after submitting. You may request removal at any time by contacting elissa@apicturesworth.org. Removal requests are honored within 30 days, except where materials have already been printed or distributed.
How We Store Your Data
Your audio recording, photo, and contact information are encrypted in transit and at rest. Only authorized APW staff and Cincy Rec Fest leadership have access to your submission. We follow best practices for data protection.
Trauma-Informed Approach
APW practices trauma-informed storytelling. You are never required to share more than you are comfortable with. You may stop your recording at any time.
